We are the Great River Ski Club and every summer we put on water ski shows for the public. What is a ski show you ask? Well an explanation just doesn't do it justice. You have to see it to believe it. Basically our skiers practice hard to perform tricks and stunts behind the boat that you wouldn't usually witness sitting on Hogback or lounging around on your boat. All the area talent comes together to show off their stuff. Currently, our club consists of almost 100 members and about 25 show skiers. Our beautiful ski campus, located in the largest natural bay on the Mississippi River, was once a swamp. We now share with the Quincy Park District, one of the finest ski areas on the Mississippi. Not by accident, but with hard work from ski club members has this happened. This is a great family activity. We invite everyone to join us! New members with an interest in skiing are welcome.
